Zhongshan Park

Zhongshan Park is located in the center of Beijing, with an advantageous geographical location. It neighbors Tiananmen to the east and covers an area of 23.8 hectares. It is a classical altar and temple garden with commemorative significance, carrying profound historical and cultural connotations.

After Dr. Sun Yat-sen passed away in 1925, his coffin was placed in the Bai Dian (now known as Zhongshan Hall) in the park, and a public memorial ceremony was held there. In memory of this great pioneer of the democratic revolution, the park was renamed Zhongshan Park in 1928.
